Mohammad Tajalli

Mohammad was born on April 2nd, 1932 in Tehran, Iran. He almost made it to 82 years old. He was the oldest of three children and at the age of 13, lost his mother (Moloud) as well as his father (Hadi) the following year. With the loss of his parents, Mohammad, his brother Parviz (11 year old) and sister Gitty (2 years old), had no choice other than to live with their mother’s sister. Mohammad took the roll of a father for his brother and sister in supporting them throughout their lives. As a young man, he had to manage high school and later worked at The Bank Meli Iran. Soon after, he married in 1958, the love of his life, Ezat Rezaei and had three beautiful children (Homayoun, Hamid and Haydeh). Mohammad was a very athletic person in his youth. Taking sports very seriously, he practiced wrestling, gymnastics, swimming, boxing and body building. His hobbies also included, watching action movies with martial arts starring Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris and Silvester Stallone. He was in his element when at family gatherings. His favorite words were: “Bojor shagshi!” meaning, “Eat until you get fat” of which he used as any excuse to get together and have fun. In 1982, during the war of Iraq and Iran, Mohammad and Ezat had the courage to change the path of his son’s lives and seeking a better future. In 1986 he decided to join his sons in the United States, California with his wife and daughter. Soon after they all became US citizens. Mohammad has two daughters in law, both Lily and Gigi and his son in law, Shahriyar. He received great pleasure in the joy brought to him by his five beautiful grandchildren (Yasmin (21), Shereen (19), Arman (15), Shadee (14) and Payam (14) now). In life, Mohammad’s health problems never stopped him as he continued to fight through exercise and eating healthy. In March 2006 Mohammad and Ezat decided to move to Gainesville, Florida to be reunited once again with his family. Mohammad “LOVED LIFE”, He loved his family. He did not like war. He enjoyed everything about life. He was a humble man, simple, loving brother, husband, father, father in law and grandfather. He never meant anything bad to anybody. He just wanted peace and harmony in life. He believed that making mistake was OK because those were lessons in life that make us stronger. So we stand up and we keep trying until we make it. We will always remember Baba and he will continue to be part of our lives.
